Strategic PPA alliance takes mission and vision beyond the product.
At MediSprout, living our mission and vision statements began well before our first product blueprint.
It started with a core value that we still hold in high regard: We learn by listening.
Since the very idea came about to evolve our telehealth platform into a full-blow EHR and practice management solution, we’ve been listening. By now, we’ve listened to more than a thousand providers, administrators, and patients. Their answers to our questions and their feedback on our ideas that better serve their needs have been invaluable.
There is simply no way to achieve our mission and vision without such partnerships. We believe in the approach so deeply that we’ve taken it a step farther.
In the summer of 2024, MediSprout founder and CEO Sam Virk, MD, and COO Ben Putland announced the establishment of a strategic partnership with the Pennsylvania Psychological Association (PPA).
Members of the PPA are familiar with MediSprout. At past PPA conferences, many a Pennsylvania therapist, provider, and administrator have been all-too-willing sharers, with Virk and Putland, of their pain points and issues over existing EHR and practice management systems.
“It’s a natural thing for us to deepen our relationship with an association whose members have been so vital to our development,” said Virk of the partnership. “State association partnerships are about more than just exposure, it’s another way for us to execute on our mission and vision.”
A three-year alliance
The partnership includes MediSprout product discounts, incentives, strategic support for early career psychologists, as well as exclusive event sponsorship and advocacy for Association initiatives.
The partnership also gives the PPA and its members a voice in the development and growth of the integrated EHR and practice management platform.
“MediSprout brings the perspective of a smart technology partner to our ranks,” said PPA executive director Ann Marie Frakes in a press release about the new agreement. “We see MediSprout as an innovative resource for, and passionate backer of, solutions that can help our members thrive.”
Partnerships similar to the strategic PPA alliance are in development between MediSprout and other state associations.
About the PPA
Founded in 1933, the Pennsylvania Psychological Association serves more than 3,000 psychologists in independent practices, schools, business organizations, hospitals, private and government agencies, and academia. The PPA is the country’s third largest state association that is affiliated with the American Psychological Association.
Obviously, technology—and our platform—are big components in our ability to deliver on the mission and vision that we have for MediSprout. Still, we’re always asking where else—or how else—can we support providers.
Stay tuned.
