The hard truth about healthcare
Before starting MediSprout, I spent about three-quarters of my working time as a practicing physician not helping patients. Shocking as that seems, it’s not atypical in healthcare.
Doctors are tasked with endless charts to dictate, insurance documentation to prepare, business challenges to overcome, regulatory requirements to meet; a mountain of duties that leave too many providers with too little time for actual patient care.
Physician burnout is as big a problem in healthcare, as is pathetically narrow patient access to care itself.
Ready for change
When it looked like change would not happen soon enough, I left my practice and started MediSprout. Our mission is to help doctors spend more time with patients without burning out. For patients, it’s about more control over personal healthcare, as well as easier access to care for more people.
We’re building a solution with purpose. And it goes beyond creating systems that help make better use of a doctor’s time and improves access to care. We’re working toward a future in which patients, providers, and organizations work together—seamlessly—within a unified healthcare ecosystem that is equitable and sustainable, and that provides a better experience for everyone within it.
